1 Peter 4:8-10 Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace:

Paul said to be a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1) . Jesus wants us to live like Him so the world can see Him in us (John 17:21-23). When we live Christlike we are thinking about others before ourselves as He did when He went to the cross for us (Romans 15:7). Now I know this may flare up some tempers and if it does it is because we are living to self and not giving it all to Him (Galatians 2:20). Also by bringing this up does not mean I am calling you a non believer. It is just stating the truth. It is something we all should want & living for Jesus helps us to bring each other to the truth (John 14:6). When we fall He is there to pick us up but we too as believers are suppose to reach out also (1 John 3:16). I have to say sometimes I wonder if we truly get it. When the Holy Spirit is moving do we really hear Him? When He does, do we wait to see Him work? I mean this with love because I have seen us shoot others down because it wasn't there turn. If we plan it all out that's good, right? But what if the Holy Spirit wanted something else do we stick to the Schedule? God is good, He is great! we yell; but really if He is that great isn't He worth more than a hour? So when we are looking at our watches it is only because we want to know what time it was when He appears, right? Or is it because we are ready to get out of His house and go grab a bite. So when Paul said be a living sacrifice for Jesus shouldn't giving up our time or an activity be included. When we try to do it our way God never comes first. Most the time someone ends up getting hurt. Why? because we answer first. How can we be lead by the Holy Spirit if we don't seek Him for the answer first? Could that be like what the Pharisees did? Don't let it be about religion, let it be lead by Jesus. Now I'm not saying your a bad christian. Sometimes we get caught up in routine and forget our mission. Now don't let us forget our first love (Revelation 2:4) who sits at the right hand of God. I pray we stay focused on our mission and we help to strengthen His Kingdom. Through Jesus let us help one another to be strong in the faith and serve God. Lord help us to be a fire starter & not a fire fighter.

Exactly. I finally finished Nehemiah and reading Ester. I hope to go back to church soon. I miss my friends. For the time being, I can feel at home in :iconchristians:
